These gorgeous Bleached Vintage Indian Parat Plates make a beautiful addition to your decor. There is a story behind each piece, previously used in traditional family kitchens, these parat plates were used to mix and knead dough to make chapati and roti breads. Indian women would gather with their parats and push the dough into the edges of the plate and leave it to rise atop the timber base. The plates history and age is evident in their bleached weathered patina and light distressing. Use these repurposed unique pieces in and around your home including bathroom, bedroom and living rooms. Style on a console or coffee table, add a candle or some of our dried botanicals or use in the bathroom and fill with soap or wash cloths.
