Tip:

For a 50 cm x 50 cm cushion cover, a 55 cm x 55 cm insert it is recommended to achieve a fuller, more plump look. This slightly larger insert will help fill out the corners and edges of the cover, resulting in a more visually appealing and comfortable cushion.

Duck feather inserts are key—they hold the chop beautifully thanks to their weight and flexibility. Synthetic inserts won’t quite give you the same sculpted look.

1. Fluff it up:
   Start by giving your cushion a good fluff. Grab it on both sides and give it a few firm shakes to redistribute the feathers and add volume.

2. Stand it tall:
   Place the cushion upright where it will sit—on your sofa, chair, or bed. Make sure it’s centered and puffed up.

3. Chop it down:
   With a firm hand, karate chop the top center of the cushion with a quick, sharp motion. This creates that stylish “V” indent at the top.

4. Adjust gently:
   Tweak the sides and corners if needed to maintain structure. You want it to look polished but still a little relaxed.
