Binga Basket | Wall Hanging | Small

Introduce warmth, texture and timeless African craftsmanship to your interior with a handwoven Binga Basket, created by skilled Batonga artisans from the Binga district of Zimbabwe.

Rooted in generations of traditional weaving, these beautiful pieces transform an age-old functional craft into sophisticated, sculptural wall décor. Traditionally used for winnowing grain, Binga baskets are now treasured as distinctive works of textile art, bringing an effortless sense of warmth, texture and collected character to contemporary interiors.

Each basket is individually handwoven from dried palm leaves in their natural tones, the result is an organic palette and beautifully detailed texture that sits effortlessly within both refined and relaxed spaces. Approximately 40 cm diametre

A Statement in Texture

For maximum impact, create a statement wall by hanging a collection of Binga baskets together in mixed sizes and patterns. Layer larger statement pieces with smaller baskets to create an organic, free-flowing arrangement that feels curated rather than overly structured.

The natural tones pair beautifully with linen, stone, timber, boucle, leather, rattan and other tactile materials, making Binga baskets an elegant addition to luxe, coastal, earthy and bohemian interiors.

Hang them above a bed, sofa, console, dining area or staircase to create a striking textural focal point.

Style Tip: Don't aim for perfect symmetry. Allow the different shapes, sizes and patterns to create a relaxed, collected feel , the beauty is in the variation.

Handmade & One of a Kind

Every Binga basket is individually woven by hand and is not mass-produced. Depending on the size and complexity of the design, each piece can take approximately 2–5 days to create.

Natural variations in shape, colour, pattern and weaving are to be expected. Small imperfections, subtle irregularities and variations in the weave are part of the character of handmade craftsmanship and should be celebrated rather than considered flaws.

No two baskets are exactly alike, making each piece a unique addition to your home.

Care

To preserve the natural beauty of your Binga basket:

• Display indoors and keep away from excessive moisture and humidity.

• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which may cause natural fibres and dyes to fade.

• Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth, feather duster or soft brush.

• Do not soak, wash or use chemical cleaning products.

• Handle gently when moving or hanging.

Please Note

Product photographs are examples of baskets and are intended to showcase the style, colour palette and craftsmanship. Your basket will be unique, with natural variations in size, shape, pattern and colour.

These variations are an inherent part of owning a genuinely handmade artisan piece and are what give each Binga basket its individual character.
